Mckmama

Today, Mckmama has a SmallFryday contest and is donating to a very great cause, String of Pearls.

So, for the past couple months i have been reading Mckmama's blog. Although i am probably much younger than all the rest of her readers, her story really touched my heart. I find myself checking her blog every few hours to see if she has posted a new blog about baby Stellan (MckMuffin) or any of her other adorable kids, BigMac, mcknugget and Smallfry.

The Story: Poor baby Stellan was diagnosed with a bunch of things wrong with his heart while in the womb. They told Mckmama that he would surely die upon his birth. Stellan defied all and is alive and healthy (no problems) a few weeks after his birth. Not only that, but he is adorable!

I guess the reason why I have kept reading Mckmamas blog is because she was so, positive, about her whole experience. She took each day moment by moment and didnt dismiss any positives about Stellan nor give up hope that he would be okay, and their family would be okay. Even though I have never met Mckmama, i feel that i somehow look up to her. Her amazing strength and courage is something that everyone wishes they had in them, and her faith even greater. In fact, although I have never been faithful, I found myself praying for baby Stellan, and praying for things in my own life and i have found that it can work. Mckmama has instilled a faith in me, a faith that i never thought id have, nor partake in.
