doggone it!

Happy belated Valentines Day by the way.

This week I was surprised to find out that my mother adopted a dog.
I wasnt very happy about this adoption for a few reasons but mainly because I am allergic to dogs. We just recently found out I am allergic (although we knew I probably was) but I had gotten used to the way I felt when there was a dog around (which was always because we have one). Since I have been away at school where there are no animals, my allergies have drastically improved. As soon as I go home, they instantly become terrible again to the point where I have to have a puff or two on my inhaler a couple times and take benedryls often. At home there is the dog and a cat, whom I am also allergic to (to a higher degree actually). I was incredibly upset that my mother would bring another animal into the house when I have such a difficult time as it is. I will be home for about 4 months this summer which will hopefully not be as difficult as I am expecting.
The second reason was that my mother is always complaining that me and my sister never help with any of the animals. She gets annoyed that she always feeds them, changes the cat litter, brushes both almost daily and plays with them. My sister never plays with the dog and although I play with the cat, I will not play with the dog. So, my question to her was "Why add another dog when you complain that no one does anything with the one we have?". My mother seemed to not have a good answer to this question, leaving me even more frustrated.
Hopefully, my allergies will be alright when I go home for the summer..if not, I guess I may have to leave home a little earlier than I expected.
