The Time Has Come

Today I participated in a conference that I can't wait to tell everyone about but that isn't what this post is about (a post on that will come later on in the week).

As a part of the conference, the leaders asked the people there to tweet all day about what was happening with a special hash tag so they could keep track and followers could see what was happening as well.

In the past, I refrained from putting my full name on Twitter or anywhere on this blog or really the internet for that matter (besides Facebook) to keep my privacy intact.

Today though, it felt odd to have a Twitter name that wasn't my real name. It felt silly and fake and that it wasn't really me tweeting.

I realized that my Twitter reflected this whole persona I've given myself on the internet--a fake one.

No one that I know personally has ever read this blog or knows that it exists because I keep it a secret For some reason that I am not sure of, I haven't felt comfortable letting people I know read what I write or what I post even though its my thoughts and opinions that I would say to someone in person.

With the change of my name on Twitter, I decided that this blog is going to change a bit too. I am not sure how and i'm truthfully not even sure what that means but I can't have these two separate "lives" anymore--I want everything to be real and true and available for anyone to read.

Part of this comes with my "mind.body.soul renovation resolution" for 2011 and I feel like a weight is being lifted as I release this blog (or a changed version of it) to the people I know and meet.

I appreciate every person that reads and follows this blog, leaves comments and shares their feelings. I hope that with a blog change you will continue to read and support me and this outlet.

As always, thank you for reading!
