August Already

How is it August already? (sidenote: I originally wrote this August 1st but didn't get a chance to put in pictures til today)

In May, it seemed that summer was going to last forever. An almost 3.5 month summer is almost too long and definitely intimidating. Now though, there is less than a month until the return to school and for that, I am thankful.
It's scary to think that its August but in another way, it's nice to know that "the return" is coming up so soon.

The beginning of August is always the point at which I think it is acceptable to begin getting things and preparing for school. I look forward to this little marker because I am a huge fan of school supplies. I love picking them, organizing them and having crisp notebooks and new inky pens. School/office/desk supplies essentially equal the best things ever.

One of the items that takes me the longest to find and purchase would be The Perfect Planner. Yes, all caps--I am very picky with planners. You are all probably thinking i'm nuts right now but the planner layout is very important and has to match my requirements or I find I don't use it.

This year, I was lucky to very easily find The Perfect Planner via e-mails I receive from Lilly Pulitzer. Probably the first e-mail from a store that I've actually ever bought something from/looked at instead of instantly deleted.

Why is my Lilly planner so absolutely perfect?

Well, first of all, it's pretty. I am in love with the color and the flowers. And the fact that it goes until December 2012!

 See all these little tabs? Each month has its designated section so you don't have to go searching through the entire planner to find your date. ALSO, there is a section for notes, address, birthdays and other important stuff.

 Each calendar page also has pretty designs which I think is spectacular.

 Blurry, but important. The pictures before showed the calendar aspect but this planner also gives several lines for each day. Needed for writing down assignments.

The best part? STICKERS! These little stickers can be stuck anywhere.

Now you know that I love planners. And school supplies. And that I have gotten great enjoyment from writing dates in my calendars.

I think having a planner makes a large difference is getting assignments done early and correctly and also helps in managing time better.

(If you arent a planner person, don't fret. Some people aren't and that is 100% okay but try a pretty one on for size. You might like it)
