Meet Me!

I haven't been on in a while. Work and senior year have kept me pretty busy. I am planning to move back into this space though soon (even though it might change a little). This week though, I wanted to link up with Kelly's Show Us Your Life-singles. She has a pretty good track record so I figured, why not?

For those coming from Kelly's Korner, I am Alex. I'm a 21 year old student from Connecticut. I'm set to graduate in May with a degree in journalism but I don't know where that is going to take me yet.

Some things about me...

One of my favorite things to do is cook (and bake). This summer I worked full time in catering as a baker so I definitely got my hands in that. I love throwing dishes together and having nice dinners and lunches that I prepare myself. Cooking healthy meals that taste good really is great fun.

Over the past year, I've lost 70 pounds so I've become pretty health conscious and active. While I wouldn't say I am an avid runner, I completed a 20k in the beginning of September and might sign up for a half marathon in 2013. With this, I'd like to apologize for the old pictures. I don't have any  more recent ones but would like to acknowledge that I am about 35lbs smaller than the one from December and about 25 from April.

My love of cooking and baking combined with health has recently lead me to think that I might want to become a food writer/blogger when I graduate.

I'm pretty simple when it comes to having fun. I love to just hang around, see a movie or do something easy. I also love taking day trips, and getting in the car and driving.

My family means a lot to me which is why I originally went to school in Connecticut, only a few minutes from where I live. I enjoy being able to see them when I want and go home for dinner sometimes.

Even though I do love living close to home, I'm ready to try something new. This is the only state I've ever lived in and I would love to go somewhere else, even if its only for a few years!

I just want to throw it out there that I know a lot of people that link up with Kelly's Korner are Christian, and I am not. I am Jewish. I am completely open to meeting someone that is a different religion than I am and very accepting of everyone.

If you would be interested in talking, please feel free to leave me a comment with contact info or just a comment at all!
