not a book review (no really, its not)

The other day, my management professor told the class that he would be absent on Friday. While no one said anything, it was obvious everyone was smiling inside.

He then followed his comment with "Dont worry--Ive asked another professor to cover the class for me".

You could hear the hopes of sleeping in on Friday hit the ground. And ( i know, you never start a sentence with and), we would have to purchase a book for the class. A book that we thought wouldnt be needed. Guess everyone was wrong.

The book, "The Passion Test" seemed interesting but you know the rule--"never judge a book by its cover". Anyway, required reading became something fun and something that I was interested in doing (also known as regular reading).

"The Passion Test" written by Chris and Janet Attwood gives the reader a chance to find and achieve their passions in life. Yes, it seems cheesy but in reality, you should put faith in these people.

After finding my top 5 passions, I realized I needed to create what the book calls a "vision board". I dont think you can understand how excited I am to do this.

A vision board is a board with pictures (and maybe words) that represent your passions in life. Maybe you want lots of money so you can put a large check or some hundreds or something on your board. Maybe another passion is a personally designed dream house so you could put pictures of what you would like that to look like.

Right now, I am trying to decide the medium. Do I go the collage route? or making it on the computer, printing it out and framing it route? I'm pretty set on the second one.

I have been working on collecting some pictures for this (all which will be cited upon the bottom of my board--no stealing) and planning it out.

Right now, I am thinking of five boards, one for each passion, and then getting them printed out largely and framed for my wall.

I cant wait to see all my passions lined up on the wall--ready for me to set my mind to achieving them.

While I am not selling "The Passion Test" nor telling you to buy it (or receiving any compensation for talking about it), I highly suggest it and the vision board concept. MAKE YOUR OWN!
